Structural Dynamics and Intelligent Infrastructure Laboratory
Welcome to the Structural Dynamics and Intelligent Infrastructure Laboratory at the University of South Carolina. Our laboratory focuses in the development and implementation of strategies for the design, construction and maintenance of the civil infrastructure of tomorrow. The effect of dynamic loads on civil infrastructure and the methodologies to mitigate these effects are of particular interest to our research group.

January 2012 - Ramin Madarshahian joins SDII
Ramin is a new Ph.D. student that will be working in model updating of structural systems.
November 2011 - Robert Boykin and Elijah Adkins join SDII
Robert and Elijah will be working in building systems for the fall detection project.
Research Projects
Our research projects are primary funded by the National Science Foundation, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and the South Carolina Department of Transportation. Current research include projects in the following topics:

- High speed trains

- Structural Health Monitoring
